insane players take down Akimbo to claim Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #7 title
Last night, insane players took on Akimbo in the grand final of the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #7. Despite knowing that the lineup would dissolve after this event, insane players beat Akimbo 2-0 to secure first place and the $5,000 prize that goes with it.
After months of inconsistency on SportsBetExpert that led to the lineup's removal, the core ironically won their first event not one month after leaving the organization.
insane players picked Dust2 to start the final, but it wasn't until round seven that they got on the board. They had a little success at the end of the half, but insane players were still down 4-8. After taking the CT pistol, insane players went on a run of their own to come all the way back and take their pick 13-9.
Akimbo picked Mirage and had another solid start to put insane players down 2-4. However, insane players won almost all remaining rounds in the half to take a slight 7-5 lead. After winning the second pistol, insane players went flawless on their T-side to win Mirage 13-5.
Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield continued his MVP-level form in the final with a 1.67 rating and nearly 108 ADR over the series.
