100 Thieves knocked out of StarLadder qualifier by Nuclear TigeRES
After upsetting Falcons in BLAST Bounty Season 2, 100 Thieves resumed their soon-to-be-over stint in the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 Europe Closed Qualifier, surprisingly failing to turn yesterday's momentum into a win over #45th ranked Nuclear TigeRES.
Ancient's first half resulted in a 6-6 stalemate, while in the second half, 100 Thieves would secure map point at 12-10. Nuclear TigeRES were able to ensure overtime, where the teams would trade leads. Though 100 Thieves again beat their opponents to map point, Nuclear TigeRES won five straight rounds to take their pick and the series lead.
Mirage saw Håvard "rain" Nygaard outpace the rest of the lobby with 21 frags and a massive +7.86% round swing, including an impactful 3K clutch in round eight, leading 100 Thieves to the 13-8 win.
The series decider of Inferno started favorably for Nuclear TigeRES, who led 8-4 by halftime. After almost tying the score, 100 Thieves fell into a slump, allowing their opponents to not only reach matchpoint, but close the series and eliminate the NA organization 13-7.
