SportsBetExpert enlist motm as a stand-in to retain VRS core

Last night SportsBetExpert's Peter "PETE187" Anadio announced on X that the team are set to field Ian "motm" Hardy for their upcoming matches in order for the team to retain their VRS core. motm's temporary return to the SBE roster follows the departure of Derek "dare" Brown earlier this week as the player is reportedly set to join Voca in the near future.

dare's decision to leave SportsBetExpert put the squad in a difficult spot as it left them with only two players (Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell and Kevin "consti" Yi) from the July VRS update, meaning the team were at risk of losing their VRS points and any invites to upcoming events.

Fortunately, motm, who helped SBE in June to start a new job, offered to ring for the squad until their new core is in place. This should be a relatively easy task as SBE already have three matches registered from their second-place finish at FRAG St. Clair, meaning the team need to play two more matches before August to add Gage "Infinite" Green and Shane "shane" Dressler into the VRS lineup.

As luck would have it, the team are set to play the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026: North American Qualifier next week where they are guaranteed to play at least two matches in the double-elimination bracket. Therefore, this situation should quickly resolve itself and allow the team to then sign a new fifth for August and beyond.
