CROSSFIRE Season 6 announced with more spots and double the prize pool

This is what we all love to see.

Just over one week after the conclusion of CROSSFIRE Season 5, CROSSFIRE have announced the details for Season 6, and it's gonna be a big one. After five straight seasons of 32-team events, CROSSFIRE are nearly doubling the size of their sixth with a whopping 56 spots. Furthermore, they are doubling the prize pool from $5,000 to $10,000, with $6,000 going to the winner.

The online event will run from August 31st to October 11th, with nearly one month of that spent on the gigantic 32-team double-elimination playoffs.

48 of the potential 56 teams will start in the group stage, running from August 31st to September 8th. Like past seasons, it will be groups of four running in a Round Robin format. All matches will be best-of-three, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs for a total of 24. August VRS, then ESEA League results will determine seeding.

The top eight teams from the August VRS will be invited directly to the playoffs for a 32-team double-elimination bracket. Every match will be a best-of-three, except for the best-of-five final. The team coming from the upper bracket will receive a one-map advantage.

Teams interested in signing up should follow CROSSFIRE on social media for updates, as the registration form will open next week on Saturday, July 25th at 08:00PM.
