Four teams, including M80 mix, Without a Roof, left standing in ENC USA Open Qualifier

The Esports Nation Cup United States Open Qualifier has reached its final day, with four teams left in the running for the sole spot in the North American Closed Qualifier. As expected, the favorites we pointed out on July 13th are all still in the running with the exception of the LAG x BOSS mix, who were knocked out yesterday by Without a Roof in a 2-1 upset for the veteran squad.

Day one of the qualifier was largely cleanup duty for the larger teams, with no notable matches taking place as a number of semi-professional squads were quickly felled by the big names in the tournament. Notably STARS AND STRIPES did not have to play a single match as they received a bye in the first round and a forfeit win in the second.

Moving into day two and round three of the bracket it was more of the same, with round four finally giving us some matches worth writing about. It was here that the first big team was knocked out as Without a Roof pulled off a 2-1 upset victory over LAG x BOSS, with the team being carried to victory by stellar performances from Timothy "autimatic" Ta and Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte, who dropped 58 and 57 frags, respectively, over the three maps.

The series started with WaR taking Cache 13-5, likely owing to their players having competitive experience on the map, before LAG x BOSS answered back with a close 13-11 win on Dust2. With the series tied up, Without a Roof took their own close win on Dust2, taking the map 13-10 to advance into day three.

Elsewhere in the bracket, SportsBetExpert felled Koby "kobruh" Higgs's BuschAppleLight 2-0 while STARS AND STRIPES and Voca received forfeit wins over babaG and Regular Show, respectively.

With four teams left standing, the qualifier will pick up at 02:00PM with the following match-ups:

• STARS AND STRIPES v. Without a Roof

• SportsBetExpert v. Voca

Notably, we'll finally get to see STARS AND STRIPES play as the team have thus far cruised through the qualifier off the back of multiple forfeits. We're currently investigating who will be streaming the games and will let you know on X where to catch the action!
