SBE sign up for FRAG St. Louis: "Despite the tweets, I want to win, and will put my guys in the best position possible to make the major"

SportsBetExpert are back in the FRAG circuit after a few days of back-and-forth arguments on X.

SportsBetExpert have claimed a spot at the upcoming FRAG Midwest: St. Louis LAN, setting up a second LAN appearance for the organization's new roster following their second-place finish at FRAG St. Clair last weekend. The sign-up also comes after SportsBetExpert's owner Peter "PETE187" Anadio publicly weighed no longer sending his team to any more FRAG events after getting into arguments with members of the FRAG team over the preceding days.

For those who missed it, the fracas effectively kicked off on July 13th when Anadio, who is known for being boisterous and unafraid to air his opinions, said he wouldn't donate any money to Joseph "muenster" Lima's GoFundMe campaign due the latter blocking him on X with Anadio insisting the block was because of his political views.

This rubbed many in the community the wrong way, leading to an extended series of back-and-forth arguments between Anadio and multiple community members, including FRAG volunteer Andrew "Big Drewski" Morrow, over politics, Anadio's public persona, his management of SBE, and various other topics. These arguments and unverified allegations from Anadio that FRAG mistreated his team led Anadio to reconsider sending his team to FRAG in the future.

This naturally led many to wonder how it would affect his team's prospects as FRAG is an essential source of VRS points for teams in North America and one of its sole LAN event operators. Fortunately, cooler heads seem to have prevailed as SBE signed up for the event today, with Anadio providing this statement to Dust2.us on his decision:

Despite the tweets, I want to win, and will put my guys in the best position possible to make the major. We're going to make the major. Its happening. I am fired up about it and going to put USA on the map. This team has so much potential and you saw it this past weekend. That was our first LAN together as five too. We hope NRG signs up for the St. Louis LAN.

With SportsBetExpert signing up for the event, FRAG Midwest: St. Louis can now count six VRS-ranked squads amongst its ranks.

The team list of FRAG Midwest: St. Louis currently includes the following notable teams:

United States LAG
United States Lotus
United States NuTorious

United States regain
United States SportsBetExpert
United States Wanted Goons
