Wildcard tumble out of Stake Ranked Episode 3 with loss to K27
Before the Major, Wildcard were the top North American team in VRS rankings, even beating out Liquid for an EWC invite. Post-Major, however, their tour of Europe has begun with a disappointing last-place finish at Stake Ranked Episode 3 as they fall to Gentle Mates and #49th-ranked K27.
Their lower bracket match against the Russian squad started on Mirage, where K27 would take the opening pistol and first five rounds. Wildcard came close to tying the game multiple times, but fell short at 4-5, 7-8, and 8-9 before ultimately losing 8-13.
On Dust2, both teams would secure nine rounds on the T-side, leaving the winner to be decided in overtime, where K27 succeeded 16-13. Four of the team's members would score 20 frags or more. For Wildcard, their best player over four maps at the event was IGL Nemanja "nEMANHA" Đukić, who accrued a 1.12 rating.
