s1n and slaxz- help Team Germany to secure ENC 2026 berth

Earlier today, Team Germany secured one of the final spots in the Esports Nation Cup 2024 after besting Team Finland in the Western European ENC Closed Qualifier. With the win over the Finns, German M80 duo Elias "s1n" Stein and Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich will represent their organization in Riyadh in November, partially making up for their American teammates falling flat in the USA Open Qualifier.

Germany's road to the ENC started with a 26-0 win over Luxembourg before the Germans took down Sweden 2-0 to make their way into the Upper Bracket qualifying matches. It was here where Germany suffered a close loss 2-1 to France, knocking the squad down into the lower bracket.

In the lower bracket Germany faced off against a Finnish team built around ENCE's core. The first map in the series, Mirage, went into overtime as the two teams were in a dead heat, with Germany ultimately coming out ahead with a 16-13 win. Map two, Cache, was much more decisive for Germany as BIG Academy player David "prosus" Hesse led the charge with 18 kills as Germany locked down the map 13-8.
