M80 fail to collect bounty on NIP
M80's selection of NIP as their opponent in BLAST Bounty Season 2 has backfired. What may have seemed like a sensible pick against a slightly restructured team has, in fact, not yielded victory.
The match would start on M80's choice of Inferno. Just moments after losing the opening pistol, Joshua "JBa" Barutt would score an impressive 1v3 ace. However, not more than a few rounds later, Martin "stavn" Lund would secure one of his own against M80’s futile eco ordnance. The first half ended 6-6 before NIP took the second pistol. M80 would regain the lead, but NIP’s T-side won six rounds with little interruption, giving them the win 13-10 on their opponent’s map pick.
The third ace of the day would go to a Michael "Swisher" Schmid equipped with Dualies. The teams would then trade multi-round streaks, with the half ending at another 6-6 impasse. After a lackluster 7-14 performance on Inferno, NIP’s Kacper "xKacpersky" Gabara would join stavn at the top of the lobby. In the end, they walked away with a 13-8 victory and 2-0 series win, while M80 walked away without the $15,000 bounty.
