EliGE leads Liquid to dominant win v. G2 en route to BLAST Bounty LAN stage
Liquid chose to play v. G2 in the second round of BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 after the NA side's huge win v. Vitality yesterday. This matchup featured either side of the pre-IEM Cologne Major trade, where Mario "malbsMd" Samoya made his way to Liquid and Guy "NertZ" Iluz moved to G2.
TL continued their hot form from the previous match, beating G2 in 2-0 fashion and only allowing the Europeans to win eleven rounds total in the series. Jonathan "EliGE" Jablownowski was leading from the front, as he topped the scoreboard with six opening kills in the match.
Liquid chose Anubis, the same as they did yesterday v. Vitality. The North Americans got off to a solid start, securing double of G2's rounds to take an 8-4 lead at halftime, thanks in large part to an eight-round streak in the middle of two pairs of G2 rounds. TL didn't let their opponents back into the game, giving up just two rounds in the second half to win the map 13-6.
G2's pick was Liquid, but it was another strong first half for Liquid, as the NA squad took a commanding 9-3 edge after the CT side. Once again, G2 only managed two second-side rounds and lost the map 13-5 and the series 2-0.
EliGE led the way in the fragging department, dropping 36 frags, seven more than the next closest teammate and twelve more than the next closest opposing player.
