German player banned for 10 years after "sucker punching" opponent on stage

The 31-year-old streamer clearly couldn't keep his emotions in check at the local LAN.

In a shocking incident from a local German LAN, a streamer and player by the name of MAUschine was caught on camera assaulting one of his opponents, Fabian "Spidergum" Salomon, in the ultimate example of being a "sore loser". The incident took place at CAGGTUS Leipzig LAN Party in the German city, with MAUschine being seen on camera walking up to his opponent and slapping him across the face, leaving Spidergum dazed and confused while the host called for MAUschine to be removed from the stage.

The brazen and childish from the 31-year-old MAUschine has left many to wonder what set off the German semi-pro. According to German community member Aaron, MAUschine was reportedly set off by trash talk during the match.

As can be expected, the German scene has come out overwhelmingly against MAUschine with the German DACH League and Fragster both banning the hothead until 2036 while forwarding the incident for review to ESIC.

Making MAUschine's actions even more pathetic, the two teams were playing for zero cash prize and were instead playing for tickets for next year's CAGGTUS Leipzig LAN Party. Needless to say, after this we don't think he'll be getting let back into the Leipzig LAN party for some time.

MAUschine has yet to comment on the incident publicly, however he may want to keep a low profile as consequences for the incident are likely to spread to Twitch and to the legal realm should Spidegum opt to press charges. For his part, Spidergum appears to be in good spirits, celebrating the win on X while getting one list verbal jab in on MAUschine for being better at slapping than AWPing.
