Media: SAW seek to acquire former quartet led by MUTiRiS
Per a report by HLTV, Portuguese organization SAW are reportedly aiming to reunite some of their most successful Portuguese players by acquiring Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes and Adones "krazy" Nobre from BC.Game, acquiring João "story" Vieira from FlyQuest, and signing the recently released João "story" Vieira. The roster is reportedly set to be rounded out by Filipe "NOPEEj" Dias of Rebels, a notable name in the Portuguese scene who has somewhat surprisingly not crossed paths with the SAW organization over the past six years.
SAW's decision to reassemble their former quartet comes six months after their roster was picked apart in the new year as BC.Game trawled the scene for a notable VRS core while 100T set their eyes on André "Ag1l" Gil and FlyQuest targeted story.
After losing their roster to these bigger names in the scene, SAW quickly assembled a new roster featuring young players from domestic organization EXSAD. Unfortunately these players struggled to find their place in the scene and have largely been irrelevant outside of modest results in Portugal. According to HLTV's sources, SAW will continue supporting this roster, perhaps as an academy project or another developmental opportunity.
With SAW reuniting MUTiRiS with some of his best players, they will hope he can reproduce the great success seen in 2024 and 2025, with SAW notably making a top-four finish at IEM Cologne 2024.
SAW are reportedly aiming to build the following roster:
-
Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes -
Adones "krazy" Nobre -
João "story" Vieira -
Michel "ewjerkz" Magalhães -
Filipe "NOPEEj" Dias
