BC.Game bench final Portuguese player six months after spending millions on SAW trio
BC.Game have announced the benching of Portuguese rifler Adones "krazy" Nobre, seeing the final Portuguese player exit the lineup six months after BC.Game purchased SAW's core as part of their frantic effort to enter the tier-one scene. krazy's departure from the lineup leaves just three players on BC.Game's starting lineup, with Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Denis "electroNic" Sharipov recently being joined by Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold on loan from The MongolZ.
BC.Game purchase the SAW core in early January after the organization was rebuked in its efforts to acquire various Top 30 cores including those of Astralis and HEROIC. At the time, SAW were ranked 22nd in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), allowing BC.Game to claim invites to IEM Kraków 2026, IEM Atlanta 2026, and CAC 2026, airlifting the team into tier-one despite questions about how the team would marry such an eclectic mix of players.
The answer to that question turned out to be "not particularly well" with Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes alluding to tension and clashes around his leadership at PGL Bucharest 2026 before being benched in April alongside António "aragornN" Barbosa.
From there the team attended IEM Atlanta and CAC 2026 with an even more eclectic mix, bringing in Senzu and fielding analyst Robin "ScrunK" Röpke as a stand-in. This predictably failed to net BC.Game any wins in their last two LAN events of the season, with the team crashing to 44th in the world on the VRS.
To make matters worse, as first pointed out by HLTV, the team are in danger of losing their VRS ran after playing just four games with Senzu and ScrunK, meaning they may need to field krazy at the start of the season to hold onto their VRS rank.
Overall, this saga with the Portuguese players appears to have been an expensive fumble for the gambling sponsor-backed organization. While we don't know for certain, Aleksey "OverDrive" Biryukov claimed BC.Game spent $2.5m on the core while BC.Game CEO Ali Muhanned evasively told HLTV it was not $2m "without indicating whether the figure is too high or too low."
