Six teams remain in ESEA Advanced Season 57 playoffs lower bracket

Half the spots at the ESEA Season 57 North American Finals remain in Advanced playoffs, as Villainous and Chicken Coop qualified through the upper bracket.

Villainous, the fifth seed coming into playoffs, avoided playing top seed Wanted Goons after falling to Brahmas in the upper bracket quarterfinals. Villainous would go on to beat Brahmas in the next round to secure their spot in the NA Finals.

Club 333 and the aforementioned Chicken Coop, seeds three and four in the playoffs, were on a crash course to meet in the upper bracket semifinals. Chicken Coop emerged victorious in that match to earn a berth in the regional finals.

Club 333 and Brahmas, thanks to their run in the upper bracket, have left themselves one win short of the North American Finals. They await the winners of the lower-bracket quarterfinals.

Olympus, who have made a run from lower bracket round one all the way to this point, face off with top-seed Wanted Goons, where the winner will go on to play Club 333.

The other match features Omen and Xiaoma, who, like Olympus, have been unbeaten since the first round of the lower bracket. The winner of that game will play v. Brahmas to earn a spot in the NA Finals.

Both matches are scheduled to begin at 08:30PM tonight.
