sycrone and Magisk talked in late 2025

sycrone on roster rumors: "I did talk with Magisk a couple of times, but that was way back"

Magisk to MOUZ was far from a done deal.

MOUZ coach Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen has downplayed previous rumors that the team was interested in bringing on Danish veteran Emil "Magisk" Reif as their new IGL.

The rumor was originated by French commentator, insider, and streamer Sébastien "KRL" Perez, who suggested the roster move in early April. Since then, Dorian "xertioN" Berman has served as MOUZ's in-game leader, not Magisk.

In a recent team vlog, sycrone admitted to speaking with the four-time Major winner, saying:

At times as a head coach you do talk with different players, but I think with the timing of this league, there was nothing in it at this point. I did talk with Magisk a couple of times, but that was way back in Christmas."

The Danish IGL remains a free agent after his stint with Falcons and a brief return to Astralis. Meanwhile, xertioN and the rest of MOUZ have just won their first match at IEM Cologne.
