BC Game Masters place future events including $25k NA event "on hold until further notice"

The BC Game Masters has announced that all future tournaments have been put "on hold until further notice" effectively canceling their recently announced $25,000 North American event alongside upcoming European and female tournaments. The announcement by the BC Game Masters alleges that the decision came "following discussions with our partner and is not related to the operation, finances, delivery, or competitive integrity of the events themselves," leaving the actual reason for the circuit being shelved up in the air.

Back in early May, the BC Game Masters announced plans to transition their Asian circuit over to North America due to high demand and interest from the community and NA teams. The BC.Game Masters Season 2 North America Series #1 was set to run from July 24th to August 2nd and would have offered a lucrative $15,000 prize to the winner of the online event.

As such, the loss of this event will be another hit for the NA scene as the region has struggled to attract new tournament organizers and consistent investment into the scene.
