ESEA S57 North American Finals team list completed with Villainous, Chicken Coop headlining $33k event

A number of notable teams will compete for ECL spots for a $15k top prize.

With the final two spots being claimed by Brahmas and Club 333 last night, the team list for the ESEA Season 57 North American finals is now complete, with 16 teams set to compete in the $33,000 event. The teams are set to compete over the next week for the $15,000 first-place prize along with one of two spots in the first ESL Challenger League Season 52 Cup.

For a reminder on format, teams start at different stages of the bracket based on the division they came from. First, the eight teams from Open10 and Intermediate will play round one. The round one winners will face the four Main teams in round two. The round two winners will be joined by the Advanced teams for the quarterfinals, leaving the bracket to play out as normal.

This iteration of the event is headlined by Villainous and Chicken Coop from ESEA Advanced Season 57, with the two Advanced squads favorites to make a deep run in the bracket especially as they are starting from the quarterfinals. Beyond them, Club 333 is liable to do some damage as they have impressed in recent NA events.

Looking at Main, the experienced stacks of Overtake Sector and DETONATE shouldn't be written off as they have also proven themselves capable in recent weeks in the NSTLGA League Season 1 group stage.

In the lower division there are also a number of interesting squads including the playing for fun mixteam featuring Eric "adreN" Hoag and Peter "ptr" Gurney, Jonathan "Jonji" Carey's Festina Lente squad, and diggers, an Open10 mixteam featuring a number of familiar Ukrainian teams.
