Marsborne win NSTLGA League Season 1 over Iowa Stormboar
After dropping only one map en route to the grand final, Marsborne faced an Iowa Stormboar powered by an unreal stand-in performance from Nazar "H0NeST" Stefinko. The series was relatively competitive, but ultimately it was Marsborne who emerged victorious to win their first event as a new lineup and claim the $3,000 first place prize.
The final began on Stormboar's pick of Dust2 with a strong start from Marsborne to give them an early 4-0 lead. Stormboar got three rounds to respond, but Marsborne got another five to secure a great 9-3 half. The second half was more back and forth, but Marsborne held it together and stole their opponent's pick 13-9.
Marsborne picked Anubis as map two, but got put in a 0-5 hole early after a good Stormboar start. However, Marsborne fought back and got seven rounds in a row to get a slight 7-5 lead at the half. Stormboar got the second pistol as well and kept the game competitive, but again Marsborne won 13-9 to claim the title.
