LAG and NuTorious top second BLAST Porto qualifier

The BLAST Open Fall 2026 closed qualifier welcomes two more teams from the second and final open qualifier. LAG and NuTorious will be joining Marsborne and Overtake Sector, as well as four other teams who will be invited based on the July VRS rankings.

LAG started in the top half of the bracket, surprisingly needing two overtimes to take down DarklordWizardz. Next they faced the new FarmVille roster in an easy 13-5 affair, followed by a 2-0 sweep over Austin "Cooper" Abadir and returning veteran Jason "jasonR" Ruchelski's WINNERS. These results surely bode well for LAG's new lineup moving forward.

With Danish IGL Mikkel "Maze" Sparvath leading the team from Europe, NuTorious were able to take down Villainous and regain in the bottom half of the bracket, before defeating aircoal 2-1 in their best-of-three match.

The closed qualifier will begin July 9th, with the winner earning a spot at BLAST's $1,100,000 LAN in Portugal.
