Shimmer get second in Rainhas do Clutch after falling to MIBR fe
After a solid run to the grand final, Shimmer lost a competitive series 1-3 to MIBR Female to end Rainhas do Clutch 2026 as the runner-up. The first three maps were all tight, and Shimmer will be kicking themselves for the overtime loss on map two, where they had a chance to go up 2-0.
The core of Sylvie "Serendipity" Splaver, Wrenna "Stx" Trampel, and Lucy "empathy" Verkaik previously lost the ESL Impact Season 8 semifinals to MIBR fe as well.
The grand final began on MIBR fe's pick of Ancient. The first half was back and forth, with both teams getting little round streaks, leaving the game tied 6-6. After MIBR fe put Shimmer down 7-9, the NA side battled back to steal their opponent's pick 13-9.
Shimmer came into their Nuke pick hot with a seven-round T-side to put MIBR fe on the back foot. MIBR fe then found a strong 11-8 lead before Shimmer came back to earn overtime. Once there, the teams jostled for control, but neither could get it over the line. Finally, after four overtimes, MIBR fe won the map 25-21.
On Dust2, the first half was a streaky affair that left both teams tied at 6-6. After losing the first three rounds of the second half, MIBR fe found their footing and took the map 13-10.
After three close maps, MIBR fe fully seized momentum on Inferno. After a 9-3 CT-side, MIBR fe ran through the finish line with a 13-4 win, taking the grand final 3-1.

With their second-place finish, Shimmer received roughly $5,967 in prize winnings. They also jumped up 52 spots to #276 on the global VRS and #68 on the Americas VRS.
