Media: FUT target SunPayus as priority replacement for cmtry

According to French insider and reliable leaker Sébastien "KRL" Perez, FUT are reportedly interested in replacing Ukrainian AWPer Mykyta "cmtry" Samolotova, with former G2 AWPer Álvaro "SunPayus" García being a priority target for the organization. The leak by KRL follows SunPayus being benched and replaced by Artem "⁠r1nkle⁠" Moroz on G2, and a previous report by KRL that suggests FUT are interested in Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç as Laurențiu "⁠lauNX⁠" Țârlea explores an exit from the team.

The addition of both xfl0ud and SunPayus would be significant changes for the FUT roster despite a strong 2026 somewhat tempered by missing playoffs at the IEM Cologne 2026 Major.

While SunPayus was recently benched by G2 in favor of r1nkle after a rough season, SunPayus is still regarded as a strong, maintaining a 1.05 rating over 131 maps this year with G2. This would be a marked improvement over cmtry's 0.99 rating over 115 maps this year, while also bringing in a more experienced name to work with the younger players on this FUT roster.

Should FUT pick up xfl0ud and SunPayus, they would head into the second half of 2026 with:
