Media: Liquid to bench ultimate, set sights on Jorko and cmtry
Liquid are going to move away from Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak, according to KRL on X.
ultimate signed with Liquid in July 2024, but he never found his footing after moving to the NA org. Liquid reportedly have their eyes set on Georgi "Jorko" Mitev of FOKUS or FUT's Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov to replace the Polish sniper. The latter may become available soon, as FUT are reportedly looking to replace cmtry with benched G2 AWPer Álvaro "SunPayus" García.
ultimate never really hit his stride during his time in Liquid, averaging a middling 1.02 rating in 331 maps played with the team.
In fairness to the Pole, Liquid haven't exactly been the place for a tier-one rookie to grow. ultimate's time in the squad has been plagued with poor performances across the board, with the team placing in the top four of a Big Event just once since he joined.
This rumored move comes at a time when Liquid are reportedly planning a roster overhaul, as they are also looking at replacing IGL Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek with South African and NA mainstay Johnny "JT" Theodosiou.
