Media: Liquid target Krimbo amidst extended slump
According to a collaborative post between self-proclaimed esports insiders Vladislav "GromovCS" Gromov and solutionN00, Liquid are allegedly interested in acquiring German rifler Karim "Krimbo" Moussa from BIG. The post does not state who Krimbo would allegedly replace, however much negative attention from the community has been directed towards Polish duo Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak and Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek in recent months as the duo have struggled on the server amidst an extended slump for the team.
However, while the signing would replace one of Liquid's two chronic underperformers, it is important to stress that Krimbo is neither an IGL nor an AWPer. As such, the signing of Krimbo would require a significant overhaul of the team's roles and likely force one of the two roles onto the team's rifling core.
The other option would be for Krimbo to take up the primary AWP role in Liquid, something the German player has never done in his career. He does have some AWPing experience during his time with cowana and BIG Academy, however there is no guarantee he'd be an actual upgrade over ultimate.
Of course, there is also the option that he replace one of the rifling core, although this seems far less likely as they are all performing adequately at the moment.
Krimbo went to BIG's bench in October 2025 to be replaced by short-lived IGL Lukas "FreeZe" Hegmann, a last-ditch effort before BIG's transition to an international lineup.
