Breaking: Imperial seek to terminate try's sale to Passion UA, reclaim player from Ukrainian organization

Imperial aim to reacquire try amidst offers for the player.

In a post on their website released today, Brazilian esports organization Imperial has announced that they are in the process of reclaiming Santino "try" Rigal's contract from Passion UA, announcing they have terminated "the respective purchase and sale contract with Passion UA" for an undisclosed reason.

Imperial added that Passion UA has been notified and allegedly "expressed its agreement with the terms of the solution adopted during meetings held in recent days."

try was acquired from Imperial by Passion UA in February 2026 as part of their ambitious international roster, with the Argentinian AWPer coming in to replace Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli on the lineup.

With Imperial aiming to reacquire try's contract, the organization stated that any inquiries regarding the player's rights should be direct to them rather than Passion UA. The announcement by Imperial follows reporting by Dust2 Brasil that MIBR have expressed interest in signing try should they unable to retain Klimentii "kl1m" Krivosheev, with G2 reportedly rejecting their first purchase offer.

While Imperial purposefully kept details vague on why they are able to reacquire try after selling him to Passion UA four months ago, the situation suggests a serious financial or contractual breach between the two parties, with Dust2 Brasil also reportedly issues with payments between the two parties.

Imperial's efforts to reacquire try comes a month after HLTV reported that Passion UA are looking to sell their Counter-Strike 2 lineup while the organization has been inactive on social media since June 5th.
