Colt enter CS2 with Holy Squid Empire lineup

On January 11th, North American esports organization Colt announced their entry into Counter-Strike 2 with the signing of Holy Squid Empire, an ESEA Advanced roster featuring a number of familiar names in the space. The signing of Holy Squid Empire is Colt's first foray into CS2 as the organization seems to be primarily focused on Call of Duty while also previously hosting a team in VALORANT.

The Holy Squid Empire previously competed in ESEA Advanced Season 55, claiming a spot in a playoff with a 6-2 record during the truncated season. In playoffs the squad claimed a top-six finish, notably felling MAZRAEA before falling to Wanted Goons in the lower bracket.

Compared to last season the team now features Frank "Laxufy" Zeolla in place of Chance "xaler" Palmer as the latter player has since gone on to join Outfit 49.

The team currently has a 1-2 record in ESEA Advanced Season 56, facing losses to Beyond Cooked and BEBRA1769 while besting Desi Boyz v6 13-10 on Mirage.

Colt's next match in ESEA Advanced Season 56 will see them take on NuTorious on January 24th as the team looks to even up to a 2-2 record.
