susp sheds light on the chaos at Wildcard, reveals he wants to play in Europe again
Tim "susp" Ångström finds himself currently on Wildcard's bench after playing the two last Majors for them. The Swede gave a long interview to Ludvig "quacke" Nilsson of Fragbite, in which he reflected on his time in Wildcard and revealed that he wants to play in Europe again.
susp said that he had "a lot of fun" during his time with Wildcard, even though he was away from home. But the fun ended once the players found out that Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell would join the roster post-BLAST.tv Austin Major, a roster change that Dust2.us broke first.
I found out that Wildcard had signed a player maybe 1-2 weeks before the Major. That was Peeping. Of course, it was upsetting because I knew it was probably me or Sonic who would go. We all thought it would be Sonic, which it was supposed to be.
So it wasn't so much fun to know that we weren't a team anymore. You become something of a "dead team" then. Everyone lost motivation and everything, it's not quite the same feeling when you know that a player is going to go.
The team morale had already taken a hit before, when Wildcard used Jake "Stewie2K" Yip instead of Love "phzy" Smidebrant to ensure they would remain in the Americas Valve Regional Standings (VRS) before the Austin Major invites. According to susp, phzy lost a "lot of trust" in Wildcard and everyone was "very sad" with the org's decision.
After the Major, and following the shock benching of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and phzy, susp stepped away and asked for a transfer after Wildcard played FISSURE Playground 1 with Peeping and Sebastian "fr3nd" Kuśmierz. He didn't agree with the changes management made, especially benching phzy.
I kind of felt like we were so close to breaking into tier-one, being able to make the playoffs in these tournaments sometimes, that I couldn't start over. I really couldn't. So I decided to ask them to transfer me.
There was a possibility for susp to return to help Wildcard retain their VRS points, but he would rather not do it. The organization ended up recalling phzy from his 9INE loan instead. phzy himself is noticeably unhappy, having revealed to Dust2.us earlier this month that Wildcard used ChatGPT to suggest roster moves.

I still can't really say what, but it's not as bad as it sounds. Sure, ChatGPT has been used, but it's not like they asked 'who should we bench, who should we bring in' like that. It was a little different. I think it looks like it's a lot worse than it is right now anyway.
For now, susp is enjoying his time away from the server while he awaits a transfer.
The Swede made it clear that he wants to play in Europe again, particularly for an international team that has a chance to qualify for the Major, rather than grinding with a Swedish team.
I want to play in Europe of course, it's the strongest scene and I miss playing CCT and stuff. So somewhere in Europe with a team that I feel has potential, that you can grind your way up with. Four talented players who are motivated.
There are some Swedish teams that are on the rise, but I feel like I want to play in a team that has a chance of getting into the Major.
