ESEA Season 54 NA Elite Cup #2 reaches final four

NuTorious, LAG, SportsBetExpert, and antigrind have made it into the semifinals of the $2,500 ESEA Season 54 North America Elite Cup #2. The winner and runners-up of this cup will also qualify for ESL Challenger League Season 51 Cup #1.

NuTorious made the semifinals following a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Take Flyte. Merigo "Msaia" Saia and John "Toasty" Hill combined for 47 frags on Ancient, the final map, to help NuTorious win by 16-14.

LAG, on the other hand, breezed past DerpTuah (13-2 on Inferno and 13-3 on Train) to lock in their spot in the semis.

SportsBetExpert also advanced to the semis with ease, as True Synergy forfeited the second map after a narrow 13-11 loss on Mirage, as they had a scheduling conflict with another event.

antigrind beat InControl 2-0 in the quarterfinals, off the back of impressive performances from Yurii "myline" Petiurenko, AbbyDog, and knifa, who combined for 127 kills in two maps.

The ESEA S44 NA Elite Cup #2 playoffs will resume this Thursday, September 19th, at 07:00PM with NuTorious vs. LAG and SportsBetExpert vs. antigrind.
