Marsborne top NA Revival Series #9
This weekend Marsborne topped the NA Revival Series #9, taking down Fisher College, Getting Info, and Wildcard to claim their first online title since the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #1 in May. The event also marked the successful debut of Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk as Masrborne's new IGL, with the former COL player leading Marsborne while serving as Ian "motm" Hardy's replacement on the server.
Marsborne's road to the finals saw them claim 2-0 wins over Fisher College, in their first event since the summer break, and Getting Info who were spotted fielding Gage "Infinite" Green in place of Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado. On the other side of the bracket, Wildcard claimed a quick and easy win over Barry Pickers before also making quick work over BOSS in another 2-0 series.
In the finals, Wildcard started the series in the lead by taking their opponent's map pick, Inferno, 13-7 before Marsborne returned the favor with a 13-4 win on Dust2. With the series tied up, Marsborne managed to take the decider, Ancient, winning their T-side 7-5 before seeing off a resurgent CT-side effort from Wildcard to win the map 13-10.
The series was notably quite poor individually for Cxzi as he ended it with a 0.71 rating, however his leadership seemingly allowed Connor "chop" Sullivan to shine as he ended the series with a 1.47 rating.
