Passion UA CEO on Shanghai Major stickers: "Passion UA earned an amount equal to the team's two-year budget"
In an interview with Ukrainian-language streamer Konstantin "Leniniw" Sivko, Passion UA's CEO Artemijs Rjabovs and owner Oleksandr Zinchenko revealed the financial impact that Major qualification and sticker money had on the financial fortunes of the Ukrainian organization.
When asked about the boost that came from the sticker money, the CEO said, “During the Shanghai Major, Passion UA earned the equivalent of the team’s budget for two years."
The team's surprise run at the major prompted interest in their top players, leading to Rodion "fear" Smyk and Dmytro "jambo" Semera to transfer to fnatic.
The sticker money boon plus transfer of two of their best players allowed them to sign Sergiy "DemQQ" Demchenko, a player that cost "quarter of Passion UA's annual budget."
