cadiaN last seven months in Astralis

Astralis bench cadiaN, HooXi to stand in at PGL Astana 2025

Astralis have removed their IGL after not qualifying for the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Casper "cadiaN" Møller is no longer part of Astralis' active lineup as of April 22nd, and the team will use Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen for PGL Astana 2025.

The organization also announced the departure of the Sports Director Kasper Straube. These important changes come after Astralis failed to qualify for the BLAST.tv Austin Major, thus missing their fifth Major in a row.

Kasper Straube has served as our Sports Director since 2023. He has been dedicated, professional, and loyal to Astralis throughout his time here. I want to thank Kasper for his hard work with the team and the organization, and I wish him the very best for the future.

At the same time, we’re making a change on the CS roster. Casper “cadiaN” Møller has been benched, and we thank him for his time and efforts at Astralis. cadiaN has proven himself to be a true professional, however, in the end, neither he nor the team managed to reach the level of play we had all hoped for. We wish cadiaN all the best going forward.

cadiaN struggled to make an impact in Astralis as an IGL rifler. They had more negative results than good showings, and cadiaN averaged just a 0.86 rating in Astralis. He said he'll share more details about his removal "later".

Astralis hopes that the temporary addition of HooXi will help to turn things around. The former G2 IGL has been inactive since G2 benched him in July 2024, so it's unclear how he'll perform individually at PGL Astana, which kicks off on May 10th.

This is Astralis' lineup for PGL Astana:

Denmark Nicolai "device" Reedtz
Denmark Martin "stavn" Lund
Denmark Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
Denmark Victor "Staehr" Staehr
Denmark Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen (Stand-in)
Denmark Casper "ruggah" Due (Coach)
