Lightning doesn't strike twice as Spirit eliminate 100 Thieves from BLAST Bounty
With expectations already exceeded following their previous win over Falcons, 100 Thieves got another titan as they faced off against Spirit for a spot at the BLAST Bounty Season 2 LAN Finals. After a tight loss in map one, 100 Thieves recovered well with a dominant win on map two to force a decider. Once there, Spirit showed their mettle and stomped them out of the server.
Despite the loss, William "sirah" Kjærsgaard was only behind donk in series rating as he got a solid 1.23 with a 38-31 K/D and 11 multikills.
The series began on 100 Thieves' pick of Anubis. 100 Thieves got the pistol and conversion, but traded blows through the rest of the half, leaving the score tied 6-6 as neither team could string together more than three rounds in a row. 100 Thieves broke through that limit as they started the second half with four, but Spirit went on a 7-1 run to steal their opponent's pick 13-11, powered by a fantastic performance from superstar Danil "donk" Kryshkovets.
Entering Spirit's Mirage pick with a clean slate, 100 Thieves were in full control through the whole first half. After taking the pistol, they gave up just two rounds en route to a stellar 10-2 half. Though Spirit won the second pistol and conversion, 100 Thieves quickly took the map 13-4.
Dust2 was the decider, and donk decided he wanted to end the series. Spirit ran over 100 Thieves with 12 consecutive rounds as donk went 20-6 in the first half. Despite a commendable 1v4 attempt from IGL Jack "Gizmy" von Spreckelsen, Spirit completed the 13-0.

With this loss, 100 Thieves are eliminated from BLAST Bounty Season 2 and currently have no future event attendances announced yet. However, the VRS from the Falcons will certainly help their future invites.
