Liquid are out of the Major

FlyQuest dominate Liquid, eliminating them from IEM Cologne

It was not close.

The stakes were high for both Liquid and FlyQuest in this match. The winner would advance to Stage 2 of the Major, while the loser would be sent home. Unfortunately for Liquid, it quickly became evident which team was which.

FlyQuest would take the opening pistol and subsequent four rounds on their map pick of Anubis, with João "story" Vieira boasting a 10-0 statline in the early goings. Liquid finally broke through in round six, but their relief was short-lived, as FlyQuest barreled towards double digits on their T-side.

The second pistol saw FlyQuest go unpunished by a Keith "NAF" Markovic 3K, and from there, victory was assured for the Australian side. Inferno didn't start much better for Liquid, save for a rare win in round three. They were down 3-9 at the half, failed to take the pistol, and showed no signs of life except for desperation to survive.

FlyQuest, on the other hand, were vocal about their dominant performance.
