Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 7 Quarterfinal #4: Akimbo secure final spot in semifinals
The fourth and final matchup of the quarterfinals in Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 7 was Akimbo v. Chicanery.
Akimbo came in with the higher seed thanks to their 3-1 group stage record, while Chicanery held a 3-2 record before the playoffs.
Akimbo chose to begin the series on Ancient. They started strong on the T side, collecting six rounds from the first seven. Chicanery battled back, winning four of the final five rounds to cut Akimbo's lead to 7-5. The second half was all Akimbo, though, as they dropped just one round on their way to the 13-6 win.
Chicanery forfeited the second map due to a conflict with another event.
Mason "mason" Watkins, Ochirbileg "obi" Schinebaatar, and Bishrel "N2o" Andryei each contributed with 16 frags in Akimbo's victory to seal their spot in the semifinals.

The semifinals begin tonight with insane players v. zomblers at 08:00PM. The second semifinal is slated for tomorrow night between regain and Akimbo at 08:00PM.
