Passion UA eliminated from IEM Rio winless
Passion UA have been eliminated from IEM Rio after falling 0-2 to FURIA and now 0-2 to B8. The absence of Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold was evidently too much to overcome.
Overpass' first pistol round went to B8, but Passion UA immediately answered with a four-round attacking streak. Up 8-4 at the half, the North American team were unprepared for a near-flawless T side out of B8, who stole the map 13-9. While senzu's impact was surely missed, stand-in Justin "FaNg" Coakley finished with a 1.45 rating.
Mirage was a massacre, seeing Passion UA take just three rounds in total. After narrowly missing the IEM Cologne Major, this poor showing in Rio only adds salt to the wounds. Hopefully Passion UA's performance rebounds with the return of their Mongolian rifler.
