M80 defeat Liquid in NA derby at DraculaN Season 6
Liquid were beaten by M80 in the upper bracket quarterfinals at DraculaN Season 6.
M80 showed a solid face, defeating their North American counterparts in 2-0 fashion to put themselves into the upper bracket semifinals.
Liquid got the affair started by choosing Ancient, but it was M80 who took the game by the horns. M80 sprinted out to a 9-1 lead, which Liquid closed to 9-3 at halftime. The comeback was not to be for Liquid, as they only secured four more rounds in the second half, falling 13-7 on their own pick.
M80's choice was Inferno, and it was a much tighter affair in the first half this time. Both sides held the lead at a couple points, with M80 coming out slightly better, holding a 7-5 advantage at the half. Liquid took the first three rounds to lead 8-7, but M80 answered back with six of the next seven to put Liquid away and send them to the lower bracket.
Michael "Swisher" Schmid was in good form for M80, as he dropped a match-high 34 frags and logged a 1.32 rating in the win.
