Jonji announces return to competition

Last night Canadian professional Counter-Strike 2 player Jonathan "Jonji" Carey shared on X that he is interested in a return to competition after last competing in December 2024 with MIGHT. Jonji had stepped away from the game at that time due to work commitments and a feeling of stagnation with his long-time Evil Geniuses White/MIGHT teammates.

Since then, Jonji has been largely out of the game outside of a few stand-in appearances with Mythic and Chicken Coop and the regular pick-up game on FACEIT. Jonji's activity on the pug platform has picked up considerably in recent months, with Jonji regularly playing 5+ games per day in the last three months.

Jonji is most known for his in CS:GO with Chaos and Bad News Bears while his professional goes back nearly ten years with teams like eUnited, Rise Nation, Party Astronauts, and Bad News Bears.

Jonji said he is still deciding on whether to join a team or build a new one from scratch while being open to role changes.
