FaZe go from 0-2 to 3-2 with win over EYEBALLERS to reach the XSE playoffs
With their 2-1 victory over the Swedes on EYEBALLERS, FaZe have qualified for the playoffs of XSE Pro League 2026. Their path was a tumultuous one as they started with bo1 losses to MIBR and TYLOO, facing elimination early. However, convincing wins over SINNERS and 3DMAX got them to a decider against EYEBALLERS, where they found success again.
Throughout their group stage run, newcomer Jason "JBOEN" Boe Nielsen was fantastic. Over nine maps, he averaged a 1.35 rating with 0.86 kills per round, a confident debut for the Danish AWPer.
The series began on FaZe's Ancient pick. Though EYEBALLERS started down 0-3, they managed to gain a slight 7-5 lead after a solid CT-side. FaZe had another strong start to the half, but EYEBALLERS fought back again to take the map to overtime. The game went back and forth with the T-sides dominating the server. Eventually, it was EYEBALLERS who got it over the line with a 22-20 win.
EYEBALLERS picked Mirage, but FaZe again had a great CT-side to take a commanding 8-4 lead. After a fourth pistol win and conversions, FaZe were up 11-4. However, EYEBALLERS mounted a valiant comeback to take the map to overtime again. This time, FaZe kept it together and took the map 16-14 with a killer JBOEN performance, ending the map 33-18.
We got a treat with the new-map Cache as the decider, but it was not a competitive affair. Even though EYEBALLERS won their first pistol, FaZe went on a 9-1 run to take a strong 9-3 lead. After winning their fifth of six pistols, FaZe quickly closed the map 13-3.
