Johnny Speeds announce benching of friberg, nawwk, Lekr0 in major roster shakeup

Johnny Speeds are set to make big moves, as the team just confirmed that Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson, Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson and coach Adam "⁠friberg⁠" Friberg have been placed on the bench, joining the already inactive William "draken" Sundin, who was benched in February of this year.

This triple change comes shortly after the departure of Anton "⁠Sapec⁠" Palmgren, leaving Johnny Speeds with just two active members, Ludvig "⁠HEAP⁠" Alonso and Jacob "⁠jocab⁠" Nerheden.

The Swedish side couldn't quite hit stride in the first half of 2026. They made a run to third at Parken Challenger Championship Season 2 and won NODWIN Clutch Series 6, but ended the season 80th in the global VRS standings after poor showings at Tipsport Conquest of Prague, NODWIN Clutch Series 8, and Svenska CS-Ligan 2026 Finals.

On X, Johnny Speeds expressed appreciation for their benched players:

There is only love for the boys — we fought hard and gave it everything, but the results haven't been there.
