device will have a new home in 2026

Media: device set to join 100 Thieves

The AWPer is leaving Astralis for the second time in his career.

Nicolai "device" Reedtz is set to join 100 Thieves for the 2026 season, according to reports from HLTV and Dust2.dk.

The negotiations between 100 Thieves and device are at an "advanced stage," according to HLTV. The report comes one week after Team Liquid knocked Astralis out of the StarLadder Budapest Major in Stage 2.

Should the move come to fruition, device will reunite with Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, who is on the verge of joining 100 Thieves as the head coach.

device and gla1ve were key pieces in the Astralis roster that dominated the Counter-Strike scene between 2018 and 2019. They've also won four CS:GO Majors together.

device rejoined Astralis in 2022, and despite putting up good numbers across some seasons, he was unable to lead Astralis to win tier-one tournaments like he had done in his first stint with the Danish organization.

This year, he helped Astralis qualify for the StarLadder Budapest Major after the organization had missed five Majors in a row.

While Astralis will have a hard time finding a replacement for him, especially in Denmark, 100 Thieves will secure the services of one of the best Counter-Strike AWPers of all time.

It's highly likely that 100 Thieves will try to sign an established three-man core for 2026 for VRS purposes. The organization already signed Håvard "rain" Nygaard and is on the verge of signing device, so it needs a core to receive invites at the start of 2026.

If the device and gla1ve reports are accurate, 100 Thieves will be:

  • Håvard "rain" Nygaard

  • Denmark Nicolai "device" Reedtz

  • Denmark Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander (Coach)
