Shimmer reforms as team looks for new home

Shimmer have confirmed to Dust2.us that the ESL Impact squad are once again set to compete under the orgless tag after ending discussions to re-sign with Supernova Comets. The decision comes after the team's contract rans out with their former home in July and negotiations over new contracts failed to bear fruit.

According to Shimmer they are currently in the process of negotiating with a number of organizations in the search for a new home and will hopefully be using the Shimmer tag in the interim while talks are ongoing.

Shimmer are, for the moment, back on their own after a successful start to 2025 for the Impact team. The squad impressed on LAN by making the ESL Impact League Season 7 Finals in Dallas and are in a comfortable position to claim VRS invites to most NA events.

The team currently have upcoming fixtures in the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #3, ESL Challenger League Season 50 Cup #1, and CCT Season NA Series #1, and also await the start of ESL Impact League Season 8 in September.
