ESL announce ESL Impact League Season 8 invites

ESL have announced the invite for ESL Impact League Season 8, with Supernova Comets and FlyQuest RED claiming invites based on their VRS ranks while six more teams will join the league via open qualifiers. As the de jure best squads of the NA Impact squad, their invites are no surprise this is the first season to use VRS invites and the first where Supernova Comets are ranked ahead of FlyQuest RED in the Impact scene.

With six spots available via qualifiers, the remaining NA Impact teams will likely find an easy route into the league, with the European Lumen squad especially happy about qualifiers as they are ineligible for an invite in NA.

The open qualifiers will kick off on August 15th.
