FaZe thrash BetBoom to reach XSE Pro League semifinals
After pulling off the reverse sweep in the group stage to reach the playoffs, FaZe continued that momentum into their quarterfinal against BetBoom. Even with a player swap, BetBoom still entered the arena hot off a 3-0 group stage and a playoff appearance at the IEM Cologne Major. FaZe showed no respect, running over their opponents with a quick 2-0.
David "frozen" Čerňanský continued his strong form from the group stage with a killer 38-17 performance, posting a 109.8 ADR over the top-ten opposition.
The series began on FaZe's pick of Cache with FaZe taking a quick 3-0 lead. Though BetBoom got some rounds, FaZe still entered the second half with a dominant 10-2 lead. After taking the second pistol, FaZe quickly secured their pick 13-2.
Map two was BetBoom's Ancient pick, but FaZe were again unstoppable in the first half as they picked up another 10-2 lead. Though BetBoom did get the first four rounds of their CT-side, FaZe got it together and won the map 13-6, securing a spot in the semifinals.
