CS2 July 8th update brings bomb explosion re-design, new Armory items
Valve has released its Premier Season 5 update, with a re-work of bomb blast radius and two new weapons and sticker collections being added to the Armory.
With the beginning of the new Premier season, players will now be able to play Cache in the Active Duty map pool.
The most notable change coming to CS2 is a completely re-designed bomb damage system. Damage from bomb explosions now "rapidly expands" from the location of the bomb instead of being applied instantly.
Notably, corners will dissipate the effect of the bomb blast, while walls will stifle them nearly entirely. There is also a new feature that will allow players to get a prediction of how much HP the bomb will take away right before it blows up.
Also coming in the July 8th update is a much-anticipated Armory change, bringing in new weapon skins from the Arabesque and Spy Tech collections, as well as the Fruits & Vegetables and Auto Racing sticker collections.

Re-designed effective range and extent of C4 explosion damage on all official defusal-mode maps.

Damage is now applied according to precomputed simulation values, baked into the compiled map.

Fixed case where picking up dropped weapons through the Buy Menu would fail to complete.
ARMORY
