Fnatic bet on the future with 17-year-old Spirit Academy prospect mazay

Fnatic have announced the acquisition of 17-year-old Spirit Acaedmy rifler Volodymyr "mazay" Iorhachov, with the prospect replacing Viktor "Br4tkO" Kondratets after four months. The move follows Fnatic's transition to an all-Ukrainian lineup back in early July upon parting ways with Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson after ten years.

While mazay only has 36 maps on HLTV, he is regarded as a potential prospect originally penned to replace Maksim "kyousuke" Lukin on the academy team before taking a break from competition due to school work.

Fnatic's gamble on a young roster and a pivot away from their previous international roster comes after missing the IEM Cologne 2026 Major and falling to 70th on the Valve Regional Standings. With this new squad, Fnatic likely hope they will have the cohesion and the firepower to return the British organization to their previous heights.
