9INE sign phzy on loan from Wildcard
Wildcard has loaned Love "phzy" Smidebrant 9INE until the end of the season, the Swedish organization announced on July 31st.
The deal will see phzy take over the AWP from Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski, who left 9INE earlier this month and is currently recovering from a broken arm.
phzy had been looking for a new team since Wildcard benched him and Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz on July 1st, following the BLAST.tv Austin Major. While Wildcard ended up reinstating stanislaw to the active lineup later on, phzy was replaced by the Polish AWPer Sebastian "fr3nd" Kuśmierz.
Since his benching, phzy stood in for Iberian Soul and helped them win Exort The Proving Grounds Season 2 over PARIVISION. After that, phzy stood in for 9INE in some officials, and the Swedish organization officially announced the signing today.
phzy and 9INE go way back, as the AWPer played for them in 2019, when he was starting his career.
"Happy to have joined 9INE again, one of my first organizations when I started playing," phzy wrote on X.
"Feels good to be back around great people and great teammates. Excited to be back on the server this soon. Let's get to work."
