Breaking: Wildcard reinstate stanislaw to the starting lineup

Wildcard have announced today that Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz has been reinstated to the starting lineup, seeing the Canadian IGL return after being benched on July 1st in a series of shock roster changes by the Houston-based organization. stanislaw's return to Wildcard's starting lineup comes after Tim "susp" Ångström was moved to the bench yesterday purportedly to explore options for a buyout by a European organization.

The return of stanislaw to Wildcard is a fairly significant course reversal for the organization after benching the veteran IGL on July 1st alongside Love "phzy" Smidebrant, with their announcement at the time suggesting a clear break with the two players. Likewise, stanislaw own talent agency, AFK Pros, announced that he would be exploring alternative options post-Major.

A potential motivation for stanislaw's return is the dire straits Wildcard found themselves in with susp moving to the bench. As the team were yet to play five matches with recent additions Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell and Sebastian "fr3nd" Kuśmierz, the organization risked losing the majority of their Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points from before the BLAST.tv Austin Major, a major setback for the organization as they aim to qualify to the StarLadder Budapest Major.

Perhaps this was a primary motivating factor in deciding to break bread with stanislaw, although it remains unknown why he was benched in the first place after bringing much success to the team.

With stanislaw back in the lineup it is expected that he will take over IGL duties from Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek although Wildcard are yet to officially confirm the change.
