BESTIA players, fans clap back at dumau after stating Argentines will miss the Major

BESTIA are not pleased with dumau saying that everyone is thinking.

Last night Dust2.us posted an interview with Legacy player Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer following the team's elimination from IEM Dallas 2025 at the hands of 3DMAX. While the interview was overall your standard esports fare, one question by Dust2.us' Editor in Chief Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore about the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major has caused something of a firestorm in the Argentinian scene.

In the interview, dumau essentially confirmed that Legacy will attend the Austin Major in place of BESTIA due to the latter team's visa issues, stating:

Yes, there's a big chance that it will happen. I mean, unfortunately, we couldn't win [at the SA MRQ]. We didn't play our best game and it was very frustrating because, to be honest, we felt we could do it. Like, [if we played] ten times, we could win nine at least.

With recent X posts from BESTIA all but confirming the team will attend the Major, dumau's comment is hardly a revelation, however it still prompted a fierce reaction from a number of BESTIA's players.

The players' outrage is focused on a perceived lack of humility and contrition for "stealing" BESIA's spot in their first Major, while dumau's statement that Legacy beats BESTIA nine out ten times only added fuel to the fire.

As can be expected, BESTIA's fans were even more incensed with all kinds of colorful insights being thrown dumau's way, calling him "disgusting slum dweller", "living shit", and a choker among other comments not for polite company.

BESTIA's frustration is understandable, albeit perhaps misplaced towards dumau, as the organization has gone to great lengths to mobilize the Argentinian scene to try and get visas for their team. BESTIA launched a hashtag on social media "#ArgentinaAlmundial" that has garnered millions of impressions and attempted to engage with politicians to try and force through visa applications.

However, their extensive efforts appear to have failed to bear fruit, with all signs pointing to Legacy attending the Major when it kicks off on June 3rd, pending official confirmation from Valve or BLAST.
