NRG bomb out of IEM Dallas after being smashed by Aurora
NRG have exited IEM Dallas 2025 in joint last place after an uninspiring 2-0 loss to Aurora which saw the team only capture eight rounds over the course of two maps. While NRG had to face two elite teams in the form of Falcons and Aurora, the uncompetitive losses to the two teams marks a disappointing end to a run for the sole truly NA team at Dallas.
Breaking down the maps themselves there isn't too much to point out other than the fact NRG were completely out of their depth against the Turkish squad.
Inferno saw start off down 7-0 on their T-side before ending the half with a significant 9-3 deficit. This then led to a 13-4 win for Aurora with Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş posting a 1.86 rating.
Moving onto Nuke, it was more of the same as Aurora started their T-side up 9-1 before winning the first half 9-3 once again. The second half was once again a quick cleanup for Aurora as they closed Nuke 13-4.
NRG will now need to lick their wounds ahead of the BLAST.tv Austin Major Stage 1 on June 3rd.
