Liquid dismantled by MOUZ in Dallas

The high of beating FaZe didn't last.

After advancing past FaZe in their opener, Liquid ran into buzzsaw in MOUZ, losing decisively on Inferno and Train, and dropping to the lower bracket of Group B.

Liquid won their T-side pistol on Inferno, but immediately lost to a MOUZ force on a Lotan "Spinx" Giladi 3K. This round set the tone for the entire map, as Liquid failed to convert on multiple opportunities, trailing 9-3 at half. MOUZ jumped out to a 12-3 lead right away before Liquid finally strung some rounds together on the CT side, but it was too little too late, as MOUZ bullied their way into the B site to claim Inferno 13-8.

With their own map pick lost, Liquid crumbled on Train, putting up almost no fight on their CT side and letting MOUZ take 10 rounds before half-time. MOUZ quickly and efficiently claimed three straight CT rounds to close out Liquid 13-3, qualifying for playoffs and knocking Liquid down to the lower bracket.

Liquid could not generate any momentum at all in either first half, and the firepower and discipline on MOUZ was never answered or matched. Liquid also looked very uncomfortable on Train, a major weak point in their map pool. While MOUZ came into the series as the favorite, Liquid fans expected a bit more of a fight, especially on their own pick of Inferno.
