Fisher College lose to Alliance in CCT Season 3 Europe Series 2 Play-in debut
Fisher College have lost to Alliance in the opening match of CCT Season 3 Europe Series 2 Play-in's group C. This was Fisher's first-ever match in Europe, even though they have a European-majority lineup.
The debut, however, went all but well for Fisher as Alliance steamrolled them in both maps. The Swedish team had the chance to win Anubis, Fisher's map pick, by 13-0 as they won all their twelve T-side rounds in the first half. Fisher prevented the 13-0 loss, but a comeback was off the cards and Alliance closed the game pretty quickly.
Fisher did play better on Train as they made things competitive in the first half. However, Alliance won six in a row on the CT side to secure a 13-5 victory.
Even though Alliance and Fisher have a similar VRS rank — 101th and 99th, respectively — Fisher's defeat was to be expected considering Alliance are far more used to playing in Europe and the fact they have two veterans in Simon "twist" Eliasson and Niclas "PlesseN" PlesseN. The former NIP AWPer dropped 39 frags in the series and finished with a 2.00 rating.
It's also worth noting that Fisher played with a substitute in the form of Alan "yoom" Groot instead of Milan "CrePoW" Libbrecht, who's their highest-rated player in 2025.

The loss to Alliance put Fisher in an elimination game against the Czech team UNiTY. The game will be played this Saturday at 04:30AM and yoom will once again stand in for CrePoW, according to HLTV.
